While you can travel the world of Vardoran on foot or via your mount, it will still take a lot of time. Luckily, there are fast travel and cave systems in the game, but it’s not the typical fast travel system you’re thinking of.

Vardoran is a massive open world, so traveling from one place to another will take you a lot of time, especially if you travel by foot. Eventually, you’ll be able to get yourself a mount to reduce travel time significantly.

Still, that won’t be enough as you’ll still have to manually traverse various areas. Luckily, there are two ways that you can fast travel in the game. One is via waygates and the other is via cave systems. Let’s have a look at these two options.

How to Fast Travel in V Rising

As mentioned, Vampire Waygates and Cave Passages are the two means of fast travel in the game. Of course, each has its own pros and cons, and we’re going to take a look at all of them. Let’s start with Vampire Waygates first.

These waygates, which you can find in certain areas on the map, provide you with the traditional means of fast traveling. You can teleport from one waygate to another, but you can only do so once you have them unlocked.

While waygates offer instantaneous means of traveling, they have one major downside. That is, you won’t be able to bring any resources or loot in your inventory. In other words, you have to empty your inventory first if you want to teleport to another location. This brings us to Cave Passages.

As opposed to waygates, Cave Passages allow you to travel from one area to another on a one-way trip only. This means you won’t be able to travel through the same passage to go back to where you came from. Besides, their destinations are set, so you won’t be able to travel to a location you desire.

That said, you can transport supplies without any problem. This alone gives Cave Passages an edge over waygates. Also, they are often close to farming locations, so you can safely transport your loots via these passages.

Using Vampire Waygates

While Cave Passages are pretty straightforward, Vampire Waygates will require you to activate them first before you can use one. These waygates are indicated by green icons on the game, but they’ll only appear once discovered.

As soon as you come across a waygate, simply interact with it. This will open a prompt asking where you want to teleport to. However, as mentioned, you can only travel to waygates you’ve already unlocked.

Once you progress further into the game, you’ll be able to build your very own Vampire Gateway inside your castle. To do so, you have to defeat Polara the Feywalker. You’ll then need a handful of materials which are as follows:

  • 10 Gem Dust
  • 20 Plank
  • 20 Copper Ingot
  • 200 Blood Essence

After building the waygate, you can then freely use it to travel to other unlocked waygates. However, only you can access it, so if you have teammates around, they’ll have to use a separate waygate.
