Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Catch Shrimp

One of the Quests you have to do in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the “Dinner With a Friend” with Goofy. Here, you would have to catch fresh seafood with goofy on the beach.

This fetch quest is simple enough, to begin with. You will have to pick up 2 scallops, and 2 clams and the third task would be 2 shrimps.

The first thought that comes to mind is that you would have to craft a net of some sort to get the shrimp and sadly, that’s not how shrimp catching works around the valley.

How to Catch Shrimp in Disney Dreamlight Valley

After you collect those scallops and clams for your meal, select your fishing rod and head towards the water. Let us start with the closest spot to fish which is beside Maui by the seashore.

The fishing spot will be noticeable because there are bubbles in the spot where you can fish. Wind up your fishing rod and aim for the circle of bubbles and cast away.

Throw your fishing line on the bubbles that indicate fishing spots on the beach

If you haven’t managed to catch one yet, don’t worry. There are a number of spots on the beach so just move from place to place and cast your line for them.

The game mechanic for fishing requires you to click your mouse button when the contracting circle reaches near your fishing circle.

This will let you reel in the potential shrimp you caught or just about any seafood you can obtain from the beach.

Reel in your catch when the indicator changes from white to green

Timing your clicks correctly will highlight your circle to green. Doing this a few times will let you catch the shrimp.

Miss timing your reel can let your shrimp get away

If you don’t reel your line properly, the shrimp or any other creature caught by your hook will get away. When this happens, try again and time your pulls correctly to catch them.

Do this a number of times and you will have 2 shrimps for you to complete the Dinner with a Friend Quest with Goofy.
