With the introduction of more elemental goons in the game, players are excited to obtain the new Dying Light 2 weapon: the Goon Smasher. It’s a two-handed weapon that deals a decent amount of damage to enemies, making missions easier to complete. Not everyone knows how to obtain this mace, but don’t worry! We got you covered.

How to Get the Legendary Goon Smasher in Dying Light 2

The Goon Smasher is a legendary two-handed mace perfect for smashing enemies along the way. The name suits it well as you can quickly kill goons with a few swings.

It’s one of the few legendary weapons that got introduced after the patch. You can check out this guide to learn how to get the other NEW legendary weapons in Dying Light 2.

Going back to the Goon Smasher, this weapon adds +19% damage during the day, +9% damage against humans, +17% damage at night, and +19% stance meter damage. Neat! So, how do we get the weapon?

Something Big Has Been Here

Getting the Goon Smasher requires you to finish the first four parts of the quest, Something Big Has Been Here.

The first part is tracking and killing three elemental goons in different locations. The quest indicator can help you locate them on the map. Besides, they are constantly surrounded by a swarm of zombies who will annoy you, so you should know if they’re near or not.

The fourth part of the quest is where things get more challenging. Unlike in the previous missions where you killed one elemental goon per quest, you will face all three of them together this time.

The trick here is to make them bash one another. It doesn’t only save you time but HP and resources as well.

After defeating all elemental goons, you’ll receive 1,000 parkour XP and the much-coveted Goon Smasher blueprint. Go to Aiden’s Stash and redeem the weapon under the extra section.

Luckily, you can use the blueprint as many times as you like every ten in-game hours, so you don’t have to worry about breaking it.

You may complete part 5 of the quest for more XP and orange crystal cores.
