Wartales has finally been released on Steam to a Very Positive rating. And if you’ve been following its development, now’s the best time to get started.

As you’d expect, battles in Wartales rely on the strength of your units, and one way to improve their strength is by equipping them with the right equipment.

There are a bunch of ways to do so, but probably the most efficient is to craft them yourself. Other than equipment, you can also craft a bunch of items in the game such as food, potions, camping gear, and a whole lot more.

In this guide, we’ll have a look at how you can craft items in the game.

Ultimate Crafting Guide in Wartales

Unlike other games where you can just start crafting via a crafting menu, crafting in Wartales is a bit different.

First off, you want to choose a specific profession for a given unit depending on what type of item you want to craft. If you want to craft armor and weapons, for example, then you need to assign someone as the Blacksmith.

Here are the other professions capable of crafting various items in the game:

  • Alchemist – Can craft different concoctions.
  • Cook – Can craft various meals for your party.
  • Tinkerer – Can craft various useful items and camping gear.

Each profession can gain access to exclusive perks that other professions don’t have. They will be able to learn different blueprints that will allow them to craft new items for your party.

How to Start Crafting

Source: 04AM

In order to start crafting, you first have to select the crafting area you want to work in. For example, if you want to craft gear, head to the forge. If you want to craft camping gear, head to the workshop, and so on.

When it comes to allocating professions, you can actually change a unit’s profession at any given time. However, a unit can only have one profession at a time, and each unit has its own bonus for a specific profession.

This means that some units are better off as a Blacksmith than a Tinkerer, etc.

Once you’re ready to start crafting, simply choose your workstation and choose which unit should craft the item that you want.

After that, a new window will then appear showing you a list of items that your chosen unit can craft.

If you have the materials you need to craft the item, simply click the Craft button after to start and finish the crafting process.
