Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is the massively multiplayer online role-playing game from 2007 that fans know and love… but better! As a game that’s always expanding with content voted for by the fans, it might be daunting to keep up with this ceaseless rhythm! This guide will show how to play the Aerial Fishing technique!

Aerial Fishing Complete Guide – OSRS

Aerial fishing is a Hunter technique requiring a minimum of 35 Hunter and 43 Fishing. It’s used to catch several fish species at Lake Molch.

To get there, you need to head to a dock and embark on the boat. One of the fastest routes is Fairy Ring, which has a dock near it. Interact with the boat and set your destination to Molch Island.

Once you’re there, talk to Alry the Angler to receive a cormorant’s glove and a cormorant, free of charge, which are required for fishing.

Note that both your hands must be free to receive those items. In other words, you can’t be carrying items in the weapon, shield, and gloves slot.

Next, make sure you have bait. You may use fish chunks if you have them in your inventory or collect the infinite supply of King worm you find on the island.

As you surely noticed as soon as you arrived on the island, there are fish pools around the island. When you’re ready, send your cormorant to them, and it will always return to you with a fish (except when your inventory is full).

Bringing a knife gives you the option to stack fish chunks whenever you catch a fish, which in turn grants Cooking experience and serves as food for the hardworking bird.

The type of fish caught depends on the player’s Fishing and Hunter levels. At the minimum level for Aerial Fishing (35 Hunter, 43 Fishing), players will only catch Bluegill.

Common tench is unlocked at 51 Hunter, 56 Fishing levels. Mottled eel at 68/73, and Greater siren 87/91. Rarely, you may also get golden tench (which can be traded with Alry the Angler for 100 Molch pearls if you don’t want it) and clue bottles.

Molch pearls are also a possible catch, and their drop chance scale is based on Fishing and Hunter level. Those can be used as currency for Alry’s Wares.

And that’s it for Aerial Fishing! Good fishing!
