The Necromancer is one of the most fun and powerful Masteries for the Acolyte in Last Epoch, as it lets you build the acolyte as a true minion master.
You’ll get to summon a lot of powerful fiends, such as Skeletal Mages and Wraiths. Sic them on your foes and watch as they rip and tear anything in their path!
In this guide, we’ll help you build your Necromancer right.
Necromancer Build Guide – Necromancer Playstyle and Best Skills
The Necromancer is, as you might assume, all about using minions.
You’ll get to summon a variety of fiends to do your bidding, meaning that your playstyle will mostly rely on micromanaging your minions more than anything else.
Sadly, this comes with the downside of poor recovery and mobility. But, your minions are strong enough to pick up the slack by wrecking your foes with ease!
As a Necromancer, you will be able to summon the following creatures:
Skeletal Mages – The best general-use minion, they can deal high damage at range with their powerful Dread Bolt spell.
Wraith – An ephemeral minion, it doesn’t around out for long. They can be hard to maintain, but they quickly seek out foes and deal extremely high damage.
Abomination – A hulking abomination made out of lesser minions. Its power depends on how many minions you consume to make it, but its always stronger than the sum of its parts.
There are on top of the regular Skeletons, Bone Golems, and Volatile Zombies the Acolyte has access to already. Quite a repertoire of fiends, huh?
In addition, you can use spells like Sacrifice and Dread Shade to micromanage your minions.
Sacrifice can be used to get rid of a minion, resulting in a strong physical explosion. This explosion, of course, deals high damage to all enemies it hits.
Dread Shade, on the other hand, is used to make your live minions even stronger. However, it will drain their health while active. It can be hard to use efficiently, but it’s one of the best skills you can choose!
Pick out your favorite minions and support them with your own magic. Your hellish army will obliterate anything that dares get in your way.
Best Gear and Affixes for a Necromancer Build
As a Necromancer, your focus when picking out your gear will be basically anything that provides buffs to your minions.
After all, your fiendish summons are your strength!
Eterra’s Path – One of the best set of boots in the entire game. You mostly want them because they drastically buff the movement speed of yourself and your minions.
Death Rattle – An amulet that greatly buffs the Damage and Critical Strike Chance that your minions deal. It does slightly increase the damage they take as well, though.
Reach of the Grave – Possibly the best wand possible for a Necromancer. Increases the speed and damage of your minion. More importantly, it allows them to leech damage as Health, too.
Arek’s Bones – A unique club that greatly enhances the Armor Shred power for yourself and your minions. Also summons Arek’s Flesh when you are under 50% Health.
Ursurper’s Mandate – A two-handed axe that greatly enhances your survivability. You get a chance to heal 50 Health whenever your minions land a hit or die. Also prevents minions from being stunned.
With the Uniques out of the way, it’s time to go over general Affix effects that you should focus on. These are in order of importance:
Skill Level Affixes for focus skills, such as Level of Summon Skeletal Mage.
Minion Damage.
Critical Strike Chance For You And Your Minions.
Mana and Mana Regeneration.
Minion Melee and Spell Damage.
Minion Spell and Bow Damage.
Increased Skeletal Mage Damage.
Health.
Vitality.
Cast Speed.
Armour.
Use loot filters to seek these effects, and your minions will bring death to your foes!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
