Summoners War: Chronicles has been one of the talks of the towns when it comes to gacha-based action role-playing games. With over 350 monsters available in the game, the prospect of upgrading your best ones is no doubt exciting.
However, besides getting 4- or 5-star monsters, there are still a lot of things that you have to learn in order to improve your gameplay.
Here, we are going to tell you a bunch of tips to maximize your gameplay.
Ultimate Beginner’s Guide in Summoners War: Chronicles
At the start of the game, you will be given free rolls that you can use to obtain the first units that you can use for the rest of the game. But if you’re not satisfied with your first pulls, you can always try rerolling.
This is just the most basic thing that you have to learn when playing Summoners War: Chronicles. However, there is still so much in store for you.
Here are some of them:
Prioritize Main Quests
As you start the game, the first thing you have to do is to progress your main story quests. I know it’s too exciting to explore the other modes of the game, especially in an open-world game.
However, it is just ideal that you do the main quests first.
After you have progressed enough and the quests are getting too hard for your level, what you need to do is participate in the Area Explorationunder the Quest tab.
Technically, this serves as the subquests where you can also get a bunch of rewards.
Spend Crystals Wisely
Unlike other gacha-based games that use hard-earned premium currencies, the system is different in Summoners War: Chronicles.
Instead of using your crystals in the Summon Altar, you use them to refill your daily dungeons. They could also be used in the Path of Training and Cairos.
However, if you are a free-to-play player, it is recommended to just recharge this once a day. The reason is that it gets more expensive every time you recharge.
Abuse Reroll
Rerolling is also a thing in Summoners War: Chronicles. In the beginning, there will be a special banner where you can reroll to get strong 3-star monsters.
Ideally, you want to aim for blue Garuda which will evolve into Konamiya once it reaches Awaken 5. Stats and utility-wise, this would be one of the strongest 3-star monsters to obtain from the start.
Build 3-star Monsters First
Make sure to put your 3-star monsters at the top of your list before you spend and invest your money in 4- or 5-star monsters.
The main reason is the difficulty of getting duplicates of 4- and 5-star monsters. So if you plan to have these types of monsters at the beginning, you will find it hard to skill them up and evolve.
Don’t Build Three Similar Elements
As you would notice, monsters in this game are characterized according to the type of element they are using. It is important to know the type of element your unit is using, especially the ones you picked.
In the end game, it would be important to form a team for each element. But since we are still starting, make sure to pick three different elements for your lineup.
This should be done so that your team won’t suffer when entering dungeons in the early game.
Make Strong Units
Aside from the team composition, you must also make sure to make your units stronger.
There are five different ways to make your units stronger which are as follows:
The first one is to level up by grinding dungeons.
Next is to enhance their skills using soul stones.
Third is to evolve your units.
Fourth is to awaken your units using magic essence.
Lastly, use runes to further enhance their stats.
However, remember not to use soul stones in evolving your units. Only use Rainbowmon and leave all your soul stone in skilling up.
Awaken Main Monsters First
Awakening your monsters can be too exciting, especially if you are starting to have a lot of strong units. But in this case, you must make sure to reach Awaken 5 with your three main monsters before you awaken other units.
Join Guilds
One more tip is to join any guild. You can join a public guild or a guild made by your friends. As long as you are a member of any guild, that would be good to go.
There, make sure to do the missions under the Request Office. There are tons of missions that you can do here with, of course, great rewards that you can get.
The number of missions that you can do here fully depends on you.
Soul Link
Soul link is one of the most important things that the game will teach you as early as the tutorial part.
Here, you have to choose a monster that you want to link to your summoner. Once you soul-link a monster, all the unit’s skills will depend on your summoner’s mana.
Doing this allows your monster to spam skills without cooldown.
Account Skills
Aside from the stats of your units, you should also pay attention to your account skill. This is a skill tree for all of your units.
All the attributes that you unlock here will be shared among all your units. Regardless of whether you change monsters, all of them will receive the stats from your account skills.
If you are an Orbia or Kina user, focus on the upper left side. For Cleaf users, focus on the upper right side.
Summoner Skills
After focusing on your monsters and your account skills, it’s now time for your summoner skills. You can get there by clicking Summoner > Skills > Enhance.
Regardless of the summoner you are using, focus on Active, Passive, and Utility skills first.
In Utility, prioritize Mental Discipline, Concentration, and Luck. For Active, all skills must be enhanced. As for the Passive skills, it fully depends on what summoner you are using.
Repeat Request
For Repeat Request, complete the ones with EXP and EXP potions as rewards. You can grind these to expedite the leveling process for your monsters.
From time to time, you should also watch out for quests that will give you an Unknown Scroll as a reward. Make sure also to recharge this once a day.
