How to Solve the Grandfather Clock Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

As you make your way to Chapter 10 of the Resident Evil 4 Remake, you will find yourself inside the Library.

Here, you’ll be playing as Ashley, and your objective will be to reach the elevator that will take you to the Mausoleum. However, you will come across two grandfather clock puzzles that you have to solve.

In this guide, we’ll show you the exact solution to those puzzles.

Grandfather Clock Puzzle Solution in Resident Evil 4 Remake

As mentioned, you will come across two grandfather clocks in the area. They will be blocking certain pathways, so unless you solve them, you won’t be able to progress.

In order to solve the puzzle, you need to set the clock to a specific time.

The first grandfather clock puzzle will be in the location shown in the image above. Once you get there, turn back and make your way to the bookshelves where you can find a table with a lamp on top of it.

Here, pick up the Hastily Written Note that’s on top of the table. It will show you the number 11:04 which is exactly the solution to the puzzle.

Now, all you need to do is set the first grandfather clock to 11:04. Shortly after, it will open and reveal a pathway that you can squeeze through.

Reaching the Second Clock

Keep moving forward and find your way to the second grandfather clock puzzle as shown in the image above. Just keep in mind that you will encounter several Armaduras which are basically animated armors.

You can deal with them by shining your lamp at them to freeze them temporarily. As soon as you reach the second clock, set it to 11:04 to reveal another passage.

At this point, all you have to do is keep moving forward until you reach the elevator that will take you to the Mausoleum. Several Armaduras will chase you at this point, so just freeze them using your lamp.
