All Viper Locations – Resident Evil 4Mar 28, 2023You start the encounter with a brief cutscene where Leon fills up the boat with fuel. As he hops onto the boat, another cutscene will then play, and shortly after, the fight begins.
What makes this fight annoying is that the boat is strapped to the monster’s tail via a harpoon. Basically, the monster will tug you around as it tries to swim around the lake.
The fight is not particularly hard; rather, it’s annoying since you have to hit the monster with harpoons as it swims around the lake. On some occasions, the monster will even charge at the boat, knocking you off of it.
Regardless, all you really have to do is shower it with harpoons. Since it’s huge, you will be able to hit it most of the time.
This will go on for a few minutes. After a few well-placed hits, you should be able to defeat the monster. At the same time, you will unlock the rare Harpoon Hurler achievement.
