People enjoy playing an NBA 2K game in various ways. There are those who’d prefer grinding the MYCAREER mode, then there are those who prefer managing and building their own team. If you belong to the latter, then you know the importance of trading players.

In this guide, I’ll show you a list of the best young players you can trade for MyNBA.

Best Young Players to Trade for MyNBA in NBA 2K23

You can’t actually trade for players like LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, and Stephen Curry if you’re playing with the standard franchise settings on. You will have to consider various factors before you start trading. Things like a player’s OVR, your team’s salary cap space, and more should be considered.

This is why it’s best to focus on looking for the best young stars instead. However, there are around 400 players in the market right now, so it’s understandable that it can get easily frustrating.

Luckily, I have just the right list for that. Let’s have a look at some of the best young players you want to trade for.

Zion Williamson

Possessing a physique that’s like a cross between prime Larry Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal, Zion Williamson seems like a hard player to build in MyCAREER mode. However, he possesses the ballhandling and speed of Michael Jordan.

This makes it more than enough for him to be considered one of the best young players to trade for.

As of now, you can trade for Williamson for only $13.5, making him really worth it to trade for. If you want until the next season, you’ll find that his contract will go up to $33 million which will make it really hard to complete a deal if you want him on your team.

Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic is quite possibly the best young player in NBA right now. As a point guard standing 6 ft 7 in, Luka pretty much has the ability to shoot from anywhere as soon as he crosses the half court line. Not only that, but he also uses his height for rebounds.

Despite all these, Luka is severely lacking in athleticism in defense, but he more than makes up for them with his basketball IQ and skill level. That said, completing a deal with Luka can be a bit challenging as his salary is already at $37 million.

However, as long as you can afford to give up several players in favor of this Slovenian star, then you can surely get a hell of a superstar on your roster.

Ja Morant

While Luka Doncic is quite lacking in athleticism, Ja Morant is overflowing with it. You can say his athleticism is out of this world, evident in his plays where he can jump over taller defenders with ease.

In fact, you can compare his performance with Derrick Rose during his prime when he obtained the title as the youngest player to ever win an MVP.

Same as Rose, Morant is known for his electric and explosive playstyle. And just like Rose in his prime, Morant is considered one of the best young point guards in the game. Luckily, completing a deal with Morant is not that challenging as his salary is only a bit over $12 million.

However, this could increase up to $33 million, so now is the best time to include him in your team.

Trae Young

There’s no denying that Stephen Curry is one of the best players to ever play in the NBA. As someone who can create plays for others and drive within the paint, adding Curry to your team is a no-brainer. The only problem is that he’s already 34 years old.

Luckily, you can essentially get a younger version of him in the form of Trae Young. As the point guard for Atlanta Hawks, Young is surely one of the most exciting players to watch out for in the game. He’s got the ability to shoot anywhere on the court and even perform amazing anklebreakers.

There are also some who would compare his size and speed to that of Allen Iverson who used to be a favorite during the early days of NBA 2K. However, getting him is also quite challenging as he has the same salary as that of Luka Doncic.
