Being an action RPG, Last Epoch places a lot of emphasis on players using builds based on what they like. Summoning builds are some of the coolest builds that you can go for in this game. Who doesn’t love building their very own little army to take into battle?
One of the main things to look at when going for a summoning build is the variety of minion summons the game has. Alongside that, you will also need to know how you change minion types in the game.
Can You Change Minion Type?
Minions in Last Epoch can be summoned using your skills. There are specific skills in the game that allow you to summon minions, and each class has its own summons. So, can you change the minion types when playing a summoning build?
Unfortunately, certain minions can only be summoned with specific classes. For example, the Necromancer build from the Acolyte class focuses on undead summons.
When playing the Necromancer, you will only have access to summoning skills related to the Necromancer.
Other classes like the Primalist can’t use Necromancer skills, they can instead summon various pets as minions. All the different skills available to the Primalist are related to the Beastmaster summons.
Despite not being able to use minions from other classes, you still have plenty of minions to choose from. So, if you take the Acolyte class again, a Necromancer build will give you access to additional minions on top of the basic minion summons the Acolyte class has.
Most Acolyte builds will be able to use Skeleton or Volatile Zombie summons. Necromancer builds will get those 2 minions and additional ones on top of that. So the minions you can summon come down completely to the skills you upgrade.
