Disney Dreamlight Valley: Lost in the Dark Grove Quest Guide

Disney really did a good job for Dreamlight Valley. The game is filled with well-loved characters that you can interact with from the Disney and Pixar franchise.

The quests are simple and fun to play with and what’s amazing is how they manage to create a setting where every character and story doesn’t feel disjointed from the rest.

Today we are going to guide you on one of the many quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley, where Cristoff sends you to find Donald who is Lost in the Dark Grove.

Guide to Lost in the Dark Grove Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

After conversing with Kristoff, head towards the quest marker that leads to the Dark Portal. Entering the portal will transport you to the Dark Grove.

When you arrive, search the area for clues to Donald’s whereabouts. Do not try to explore the grove just yet since there is a thick mist in the area and you would just end up going in circles.

Bring the Feather to Kristoff

After finding the clues, head back to Kristoff and show him what you have found in your search through the Dark Grove.

Kristoff will not be able to help you navigate through the mist that envelops the Grove. This would require Magic to help you so head over to the resident Dreamlight Magician, Merlin. He might have a solution to your problem.

Ask help from Merlin

Merlin would ask you to collect four items for his tracking spell. Collect 2 emerald stones, 1 plant from the Dark Grove, 4 Dream Shards and of Course Donald’s Feather.

Donald’s Feather will already be in your hands. That’s the clue you uncovered on your visit to the Dark Grove. The same goes for the dream shards. All you need to find now is the Emerald and a plant from the Dark Grove.

Getting the Plant from the Dark Grove

Head back towards the Dark Portal. Entering it would bring you back to where you first got Donald’s Feather. The plant will be in that area. Just look for the highlighted flower and get it.

Mine for Emeralds

To make mining for the emeralds easier, bring a companion who has the mining perk. In our case it’s Maui. Just head over to your companion and ask him to hang out with you.

There are two potential areas for you to mine the emerald. The first is the mining spots located in the Glade of Trust. The other area is the Forest of Valor.

Head over to Merlin to cast the Tracking Spell

After you collect all the materials, head back to Merlin for him to cast the tracking spell on Donald’s Feather. The feather will then float around and guide you to where Donald is located.

Follow the enchanted feather through the Dark Grove

Enter the Dark Portal again to take you to the Dark Grove. From here, just follow the feather as it navigates you through the mist until it stops in front of Donald.

Take the Orb of Courage and Place it in the Forest Pillar

Donald will be holding the Orb of Courage. Ask the item from him and head out towards the next quest marker. This will take you to the Forest Pillar. Get close to the pillar and place the Orb of Courage. This will complete the Lost in the Dark Grove Quest.
