Moving your tent or house to a separate location is only normal in Dinkum. After all, the spot that you started in won’t be as safe or accessible to in-game resources.
At the very start of your Dinkum playthrough, you will normally have to contend with what the game offers you. In terms of shelter, that would mean you’ll have to build one in a place that’s not even safe or grant you access to various resources. This is why moving your tent or house to a different location later on is important.
But how exactly do you move it? Let’s find out how in this tutorial.
How to Move Your Tent or House in Dinkum
Moving your tent or house to a different spot is actually quite simple. First, look for a better spot that will grant you quick access to various locations and is safe from any predators. Once you have found one, head over to Fletch and talk to her about it. Then, she will have various dialogue options you can choose from. Pick the one that says “I want to move my house”.
Do take note that doing so will cost you 25,000 Dinks. So if you don’t have enough money yet, I recommend checking out our guide on how to make money fast in the game. After accepting the terms and paying Fletch the amount, she will then hand over a “House Move Deed”.
Unlike other building deeds, you can just place this one wherever you want in order to move your house. All you need to do is go to your ideal location and place the deed here. However, make sure you bring a bed or a sleeping bag. This is because it will take a full day for the process to complete.
After sleeping the night, you will now find that your house has been finally moved to your chosen spot.
