Mining is one of the essential things to do in Dinkum. It will allow you to gather items and acquire valuable minerals with a pickaxe in hand. You need these items to progress the story and dominate the game. If you’re wondering how to get a mine in Dinkum, then you’re at the right place!

How to Get a Mine in Dinkum

Before getting a Mine, you must have a Mining License to level 2 to unlock the Copper Pickaxe blueprint. Craft it for 2 Copper bars and a regular pickaxe. You need 1,250 points to level up the Mining license to 2.

A Deep Mining License is required to construct a mine. The following are the requirements for construction:

  • 250,000 Dinks
  • 10 Bags of Cement
  • 10 Old Gears
  • 1 Old Contraption
  • 2 Old Keys
  • 5 Tin Bars
  • 5 Copper Bars

To access a mine, you must first secure a Mining Pass, which costs 25,000 Dinkum.  Inside, you can obtain Iron Ores with a Copper pickaxe. Smelt the Iron ore in a Furnace to receive Iron Bars.

Deep Mining can yield fossils and gems. However, keep in mind that they cannot be placed in the inventory; you must manually carry them. These loots are expensive and can be sold at John’s store. Fortunately, you can leave multiple fossils and gems in the elevator before going back to the surface.

Getting a Quarry is also considered mining in Dinkum. You can unlock it from Franklyn. Quarries create barrels that contain old items and ore deposits daily. You can leave them in town, but the process will be slower than exploring the mines yourself.
