Black Desert: How to Change Family Name

Family Name is more or less your account name in Black Desert. It persists across all of your characters and servers. It’s what other players see during the game. If you happen to want to change it for any reason whatsoever, this guide will tell you exactly what to do.

How to Change Family Name in Black Desert

Changing your family name in Black Desert is a fairly simple process. However, the only current way to do so is a paid method. To do so you will need to buy a Family Name Change coupon from the Pearl Shop. Sadly, there is no free method for now.

To obtain a Family Name Change coupon you must open up the in-game Pearl Shop and go to the Etc section. Here you will see a Family Name Change Coupon listed for 1200 Pearls. Once you buy it, you can find it in your Pearl inventory.

Now you just have to go into your inventory and use the Family Name Change Coupon. This will let you input your new family name. Do note that the change only occurs after the game’s next scheduled maintenance. It’s not an instant change, so do keep that in mind.
