Modding builds skills, unlocks creativity, and brings joy to gaming communities, but do you know how to manually mod Crusader Kings 3?
Installing mods in a game gives you multiple features according to your need. This enhances the gaming experience. Today we’ll learn how to manually install mods in Crusader Kings 3.
Manually Modding Crusader Kings 3
You can manually add mods to Crusader Kings 3 but this method wouldn’t work for you if you are using the Steam version.
Mods are usually installed in the “documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod” folder.
There is a .mod file in every mod, and a folder also. For example (“nameplates.mod” and “nameplates” folder).
Here are the steps to install mods in Crusader Kings 3 (Manually):
Download The Mod:
Go to the forum, i.e. Paradox Plaza, and download your desired mod.
Extract It:
Extract the downloaded mod using any software like Winrar or 7-Zip. After extracting the compressed file you will get a mod folder containing the .mod file.
Copy & Paste:
Copy the .mod and paste it in the “documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod” folder.
If the folder isn’t present there, create a new folder named “mod” in the Crusader Kings III folder. Now paste the .mod file in it.
Making It Playable:
Open the Game Launcher. There’s an option, “Add Mods” if you scroll down. But I wouldn’t recommend using that option. Instead, go to the playset and add a new one.
Name it anything e.g. “New Mod”.
Now click on “add mod” and select the one you downloaded. If it isn’t present there, you have placed the .mod file in the wrong location.
Select it and click done.
Now all that is left for you is to enjoy the game!
