Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has a lot of Perks to pick from, so it can be hard to figure out which ones are the best to pick early in the game.

Every single Stat and Skill in the game has about a dozen or so Perks related to it. These can range from simple overall upgrades to Henry’s abilities to some more niche build-specific things. One way or another, though, picking the right ones is key to surviving in this game!

In this guide, we’ll give you a list of the best recommended Perks you can get early in the game. We’ll separate them per category so you can easily find what you want, as well.

Best Early Perks | Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Main Level Perks

  • Driven by Vengeance – Increases your Attack Damage and Stamina Recovery by 10% after killing an enemy in combat. This effect lasts for 30 seconds.
  • Undaunted Cavalier – Increases your Armour by 15 as long as your Charisma stays above 20. To maximize this Skill’s uptime, make sure to keep Henry and his clothes clean as much as possible!

Strength Perks

  • Hard-Working Lad – Halves the weight of sacks and bodies you carry. Also permanently increases your carrying capacity by 8 pounds.
  • Pack Mule – Increases carrying capacity by 12 pounds.
  • Strong as a Bull – Increases carrying capacity by 20 pounds. Yup, increasing carrying capacity is the most important aspect of Strength Perks!

Agility Perks

  • Nimble Stance – Dodges cost 40% less Stamina. No reason not to get this one!
  • Dominant Hand – This one is somewhat dependent on your playstyle. However, it’s a must-have if you only use one-handed weapons. Reduces the Stamina consumed when using one-handed weapons without a shield by 20%. The effect still works even if you hold a torch in the off-hand.
  • Totentanz – You get a 15% weapon Attack bonus for 5 seconds after you do a Perfect Dodge. It’s great if you’re fond of dodging in combat, but not a must-have for every player.

Vitality Perks

  • Ascetic – Your Nourishment decreases 30% slower than normal. That means you need to eat less often!
  • Thick-Blooded – Makes you Bleed slower when injured. You’ll still need to bandage up, though. Also, the game doesn’t specify just how much slower you’ll Bleed…
  • Hermes’ Haste – You’ll sprint 20% faster. Gotta go fast!

Speech Perks

  • Hustler – Allows you to sell stolen goods more easily. You’ll also gain Stealth and Thievery experience when selling stolen goods. It’s currently unknown if this effect extends to stolen horses, however.

Alchemy Perks

  • Potion Seller – Allows you to earn 30% more whenever you sell potions you brewed through Alchemy.
  • Secret of Matter – You’ll receive a duplicate of any potion you brew. The duplicate will be of the same quality. You’ll get a 2-for-1, making this a must-have if you plan to use Alchemy at all.
  • Water of Life – The healing effect from Healing Potions is 25% faster. This can be the difference between life and death!

Craftmanship Perks

  • Seven-League Boots – Sprinting will consume 25% less Stamina if you’re wearing boots you repaired yourself. Pairs up excellently with Hermes’ Haste from the Vitality section!
  • Keen Eye – You’ll gain experience whenever you get a Craftsman to repair your gear. The costlier the repair, the more experience you gain.

Scholarship Perks

  • Cushion – Increases the buff from sitting by 50%. This allows you to study a lot faster, saving time in the long run.
  • Liberal Arts – Allows you to see how difficult a Skillcheck is. However, this doesn’t show your chances of succeeding. Also, this doesn’t show the potential effects on your Reputation of passing or failing the Skillcheck. Still, it helps!
  • Fundamentals of Medicine Increases the effects of Bandages by 25%. Also doubles the healing effects of food. Lastly, you’ll also recover faster when sleeping.

Stealth Perks

  • Bushman – Reduces the noise you make while moving through bushes by 50%. They won’t hear you coming!
  • Ordinary Man – People will forget your crimes faster. Also, Guards are less likely to search you. Basically, Henry will better blend in with his fellow man.
  • Rodent – Reduces the noise you make while sneaking indoors by 25%. You’ll also make half as much noise when opening doors. Doesn’t increase Henry’s love for cheese, however…
  • Weasel Boy – You’ll make 35% less noise when sneaking outdoors.

Survival Perks

  • Flower Power – Increases your Charisma by 2 as long as you have 30 or more fresh or dried Herbs in your inventory. Spoiled Herbs do not count for this total, however.
  • Leg Day – You gain a small amount of Strength experience whenever you collect Herbs.
  • Leshy – This one provides a lot of various benefits as long as you’re in a forest. First off, your scent is halved, making you stealthier. Your Stamina will also recover 15% faster than normal. Your Strength, Vitality, and Agility stats will all be increased by 1. Lastly, your Stealth skill by be increased by 2. Phew, that’s a lot for just one perk, even if it’s all situational…
  • Wild Man – Allows the effects of Leshy and Leshy II to apply while you’re in any wilderness area. That means, whenever you’re not in a human settlement or the lands directly adjacent to them. You spend a decent amount of time in those types of areas in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which is why this is one of the best early Perks you can get!

Thievery Perks

  • Silent Fiddler – Makes you nearly silent while using a lockpick. Also reduces the noise you make when failing a lockpick minigame by 75%. Speaking of lockpicking, make sure you check out our tips and tricks for the lockpicking minigame!
  • Rapid Flight – Prevents your victim from noticing you if you fail to return to the doorway box while pickpocketing. However, the effect has a 3-minute cooldown, so keep that in mind.
  • Hidden Pockets – Gives you a 33% chance of Guards failing to notice any stolen goods you have while they search you. This one is very luck-reliant, but it can save you in a pinch.

That’s the end of our list of the best Perks to get early in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. However, remember that these are merely recommendations! Not all Perks will be important to every player, so it’s ultimately up to you to decide which ones actually fit your build and playstyle.
