Mounts are such a useful addition to V Rising as they allow you to travel the vast world of Vardoran quickly and easily.
Besides, mounts are incredibly versatile since they also come with special mounted combat moves which allow you to fight against your enemies while riding.
As of now, the only available mount in V Rising is the horse, but you need to get yourself one first since the game doesn’t readily give you one from the start. In this guide, we’ll talk about how you can get a horse mount as quickly as possible.
How to Get a Horse Mount in V Rising
To get your very own horse mount, you’ll want to head over to the Dunley Farmlands since there is where you can find a good number of horses spawning.
However, since the enemies in this area are level 30 and above, make sure you’re equipped with the right gear first.
Specifically, you want to head over to the Militia Encampments to get a higher chance of seeing horses spawn. Once you find a horse you want, simply walk up to it then hold the F key to mount. After that, you can then claim that horse as your own. It’s that simple!
Keeping Your Horse Alive
Do keep in mind that each horse will have its own stat. These stats will define its acceleration, max speed, and rotation speed. You can check the stats of your tamed horse by simply opening the menu while mounted.
Also, horses will die if left unattended. Make sure to hydrate yours at all times by giving it waterskins filled with water. If your horse is dehydrated, it will slowly lose health until it dies.
