Pals will learn their own abilities as they get stronger in Palworld, but you can also speed things up by using certain items to teach them new abilities yourself.
You can get your hands on certain rare fruits, each one capable of teaching one skill to a Pal once they eat it. This versatile system lets you customize each Pal’s moveset to your liking.
In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Skill Fruits and how to use them to teach new abilities to your Pals.
How To Teach Your Pals New Abilities
Pals will naturally learn new abilities as they level up. On top of that, Lucky and Alpha Pals will also have extra abilities from the get-go.
But, you can also teach any ability you want to Pals by using Skill Fruits!
You can gather Skill Fruits by finding certain special trees. You’ll be able to tell them apart thanks to their strange withered look and magical blue shine.
These trees are scattered all over the world, and we don’t know all of their locations yet. However, the one marked on the map above is a very easy one to reach from the start of the game!
The Skill Fruits on the trees are always randomized, so no two players will always find the same fruits on the same trees.
Additionally, the fruits tend to respawn after a few in-game days pass, though the exact timing seems to vary somewhat.
The abilities they give are randomized each time the fruits respawn, too. Since each tree usually has 3 fruits at once, you can get a large number of abilities with just one tree.
Keep in mind, though, that not all abilities are available as Skill Fruits, as certain Pals have exclusive abilities. For example, Rushoar’s Reckless Charge and Nitewing’s Tornado.
Anyway, let’s go over how to use the Skill Fruits!
How to Use Skill Fruits
Once you have a Skill Fruit you want to use, just select it and use it like any other food item. The game will ask you which one of the Pals in your party you want to give it to.
There are no limitations per type when using fruits, so every Pal can learn every non-exclusive ability via fruits!
After feeding, check your Pal’s status in the Party menu. You can swap its abilities in and out, so there’s no limit to how many they can learn either.
Make good use of Skill Fruits while enhancing your Pals via features like Infusion to make them as strong as possible!
