148 articlesThe Sakurajima update for Palworld is the game’s biggest update yet. Alongside a new map location, the update brings a lot of new content to the game, including cool new legendary weapons and armor sets.
To get the new armor and weapons, you will first need to find their Schematics. You will need an item’s Schematics in your inventory in order to make it. We will be looking at where you can find the new legendary Schematics, and how to get them.
Where to Find The New Legendaries
The new Schematics are quite hard to get, as they only spawn at 2 locations in the game.
- The Oil Rig
- Sakurajima island dungeons
Other than them only being found in these 2 locations, they are also not a guaranteed drop. Fortunately, the Oil Rig and the dungeons reset once you clear them. It does take a little while for them to reset though, so you will need to wait a bit before going to them again.

The Oil Rig is an all-new Stronghold location that has been added to the game with the Sakurajima update. If you haven’t found the Oil Rig yet, check out our guide on how to get to the Oil Rig in Palworld.
To access the loot on the Oil Rig, you will need to get through the group of enemies waiting for you there. Once you clear the enemies, start looking for chests that you can loot for Schematics.
You can only get armor schematics from Oil Rigs. There’s also a cool new futuristic Plasteel armor set that can only be found on the Oil Rig. Alongside Schematics, you can find a ton of other valuable items like Crude Oil on Oil Rigs.
Sakurajima Island Dungeons
The new Sakurajima island dungeons can also contain legendary Schematics. Like other dungeons in this game, the Sakurajima island dungeons all have very similar layouts. That said, the Sakurajima island dungeons are different from the base game dungeons.
In theme with the rest of the update, the layout of all the dungeons on Sakurajima island is heavily influenced by Japanese architecture.
You can get legendary Schematics for both weapons and armor sets. It’s important to note that you only get these Schematics from dungeons that are level 52 or higher. If the dungeon is lower than level 52, you can not legendary Schematics from them.
