The Sakurajima update is Palworld’s biggest update yet, adding a ton of new content to the game. Alongside loads of unique content, the update also adds a bunch of new dungeons that you can explore in the map’s newest areas.
Dungeons in Palworld allow you to face off against alpha Pals, the strongest Pals in the game. Clearing dungeons will also reward you with plenty of valuable loot that you can use to upgrade your base or your character.
Sakurajima Dungeon Farming Guide
All dungeons in Palworld work very similarly to each other. You can find a bunch of loot all throughout the dungeon, and accessing the special loot at the end of the dungeon will require you to take down the Alpha Pal guarding it.
While dungeon locations stay the same, the layout of dungeons in Palworld is randomly generated. When you go back to a dungeon after clearing it, the overall layout of the dungeon will be a bit different.

The map above shows all the possible dungeon locations on Sakurajima Island. They are scattered all across the island, making them very easy to get to.
While dungeons in Palworld share similar layouts, Sakurajima island dungeons are very different from the base game ones. All of the Sakurajima island dungeons have a Japanese-themed layout.
Loot Found in Dungeons
Clearing a dungeon in this game will get you a ton of valuable loot. Most of the items and resources that you find in Sakurajima island dungeons are needed to make late-game items.

There are 2 chests that you can find at the end of each dungeon. These chests have a higher chance of dropping rarer and more valuable items. You can access both of these chests after beating the Alpha Pal at the end of the dungeon. Once you loot the chests, you can go to the crystal behind them to instantly get out of the dungeon.
Other than the 2 end chests, there is also a bunch of other loot that you can find in these dungeons. Thoroughly go through a dungeon when you are clearing it to make sure you get everything. So, what are the best items to get from dungeons in Palworld?
Slab Fragments

Slab Fragments are valuable resources that you will need to summon a brand-new raid boss called Blazamut Ryu. You will need to construct a summoning altar for this boss, and Slab Fragments are an essential ingredient that goes into that.
There are 2 different Slab Fragments needed when making the summoning altar. One of these is the Blazamut Ryu Slab Fragment, which can only be found in Sakurajima island dungeons.
Lotuses

Small Lotuses are a common drop in Sakurajima island dungeons. You can use Lotuses in Palwrold to create new consumables called remedies. Remedies are extremely valuable in this game, as they help increase your character’s stats. The stats they impact are:
- Health
- Stamina
- Attack
- Speed
- Equip load
Remedies give your character a small boost in these stats depending on which remedy you use. Alongside remedies, you can also craft elixirs to give your character an even bigger boost in stats. Crafting elixirs requires you to get large lotuses instead of small ones.
Other than crafting elixirs, you can buy them from a new merchant called Medal Merchants. You will need Dog Coins to purchase items from Medal Merchants. Check out our complete guide on how to get Dog Coins and where to spend them for more on that.
Schematics

Schematics are probably the most important items found in dungeons, as they let you craft amazing new weapons and armor. Palworld has added a lot of new gear options for you to use, and all of them require you to have the schematics if you want to make them.
Other than dungeons, you can also find schematics on the Oil Rig. The Oil Rig is a new stronghold location in Palworld, and clearing it can get you a ton of loot. To find the Oil Rig, check out our guide on how to get to the Oil Rig.
So there you have it, a complete farming guide for dungeons highlighting where the dungeons can be found and what to expect going into them. Dungeons automatically reset in Palworld, so once you clear one, go through it again to get all new loot.
