The Training Area is an extremely helpful facility in the Monster Hunter series. Of course, it returns in Monster Hunter Rise.
This location will allow you to try out different weapon types. It’s a fantastic area if you wish to learn how to use a new weapon type, or if you simply wish to get better at your weapon of choice.
So, are you ready to become a better hunter? Then let us tell you how to make use of the Training Area!
How to Find and Unlock the Training Area in Monster Hunter Rise
As soon as the game’s introductory sequence and tutorial are finished, you will be in the game’s hub: Kamura Village.
Look for the huge central building which is the Gathering Hub. While facing it, turn to your right and you should see a rope bridge leading to a forested area.
Go across this bridge to enter the Buddy Plaza. If you’ve been here before, you can also just fast travel here from your map.
Keep going straight forward through the only path heading into the plaza proper. You should get a view of the ocean here as well.
Head toward the shore and look for a small boat next to a large boat. Approach the small boat and interact with it to ride it.
You should now be in the Training Area!
This will unlock it for fast travel, so you can now move to this area from your map at any moment. Well, as long as you are in Kamura Village, of course!
As a tip, you can use the chest by the entrance to change weapon types. Your weapon’s attacks will show up on the screen on the left. Meanwhile, damage dealt is displayed next to your character.
Now that you know where the Training Area is, make good use of this facility to practice combos and try out weapons. It will be a vital tool for learning the ins and outs of every weapon type.
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
