That said, if you want to hunt even more powerful monsters, then you’re better off doing 5-star Anomaly Quests. But how do you unlock them in the first place? Well, this guide will show you how.
How to Unlock 5-Star Anomaly Quests in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak
It’s worth noting that unlocking 5-star Anomaly Quests grants you access to brand-new monsters in the game. That said, in order to unlock 5-star Anomaly Quests, you have to complete Anomaly Investigations and go all the way to level 50 plus.
You will be able to unlock them by level 50, though you need to be at least level 51 in order to do it. What makes this different than normal quests is that you won’t automatically accept them.

To start, you simply head over to the Quest Counter. And from there, pick the Anomaly Investigations option, and look for the target. Keep in mind, however, that you won’t see any indication of 5-star Afflicted Monsters. This is because you won’t unlock them automatically.
For you to get access to them, you have to join someone else’s hunt and then obtain a random quest reward from the hunt. After that, you should then be able to finally unlock the 5-star Anomaly Quests.
