Tunic: All Secrets You Need to Know About | Bosses, Chests, Items…
Being a game heavily inspired by Zelda, it’s no wonder Tunic has so many secrets. And just like in Zelda, some of those are just small little things you might glance over.
Tunic is build around secrets, some of which can be a bit tricky to figure out on your own. And tough some have a huge impact on the game, there’s a variety of smaller ones that are just cool to notice. Here are a few of those smaller secrets that you should know about.
Secrets You Should Know About in Tunic
A lot of the game’s secrets are hidden in the early game location, but can only be accessed using late game items. Make sure you visit each area every one in a while, to make sure you’re not missing anything!
The Manual
One of the most interesting collectibles in the game are the 55 manual pages scattered around the world. They are stylized similarly to the instruction booklet from the very first Legend of Zelda game and give you a lot of hints. Also, collecting all of them and visiting the final boss area will unlock the true ending…
The Bosses
One of the more interesting things to learn from the aforementioned manual is the recommended level of Defense and Health before each boss fight. So, if you’re unsure whether you’re strong enough to take on the enemy, you can always consult pages 18 and 19.
Destructible Walls
There are a lot of destructible walls in Tunic that hide secret chambers. To blow them up, you need to use firecrackers. Don’t be afraid to throw the explosives at every wall you see.
Hidden Passages
There are also dozens of hidden passages that can be accessed by pressing a button on the wall. And sometimes, there are even hidden passages in the corners of rooms, so you might want to constantly walk as if you’re glued to the walls. Not to mention that half of the waterfalls in this game hide a passage underneath…
The Shop
The Skeletal Shopkeeper will sell you items depending on your progress in the game. Some items will only be accessible later on, and some will require you to buy something else to appear in the shop.
The Secret Treasure
The ruins in the Old House have a special chamber with 12 mysterious pedestals. These are for the so-called secret treasures. These are usually marked in the instruction manual with a blue pen, with page 45 being crucial to finding all of them.
These were a couple of smaller secrets found in the world of Tunic. Of course, as the game was released fairly recently, there might be more that we’re still unaware of, but that’s a topic for the future.
