The Beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is well underway, despite the release coming next month. New players who are having some difficulty with how to create a voice chat channel can find out how to easily set one up using our tutorial.
How to Create A Voice Chat Channel in Modern Warfare 2
First, you’ll need to go to “Options” in-game, and navigate on over to the “Socials.” From here, select a friend that you’d like to have on your voice chat channel.
Once you’ve picked the friend(s), navigate to “Channels” and select the corresponding channel. You can then click on “Create” and utilize the “Invite to Channel” option to invite additional friends over for a group or party chat within the channel.
If you go back to your home screen, and select “Options” again you should now be able to see the channel you just created in the “Channels” tab.
Press the corresponding button on your PC or controller (Square for PS5 users) to ‘connect’ to the newly created channel.
You can then click on and select the channel you’ve just created to invite more players, send a message to your friends within the channel, or mute/unmute yourself.
You can also adjust the channel settings to change the privacy features of the channel, change the name of the channel, or close it.
With this, you don’t have to be in the same lobby as your friends to communicate – and you can mute/unmute depending on what game or lobby you’re involved in.
