As you play Dinkum, you will come across various NPCs who you can invite to move in to your farm. However, convincing them to move in won’t be that quick and easy.
Dinkum involves venturing out into the wild, farming resources, raising farm animals, catching insects, and more. As you progress through the game’s story, you will come across NPCs throughout the island.
The good news is, you can actually invite them to move in to your farm. However, if you don’t know how to do it, then this guide will show you how.
How to Get More People to Move In in Dinkum
These NPCs that you get to meet will offer a variety of stuff. Some will sell you new items, others will make new buildings and more. All in all, you will get to meet 16 NPCs in the game who you can turn into residents.
In order to get them to move in, you need to interact with them on a regular basis and tend to their favors. Each NPC will have a heart meter that will fill up each time you do someone a favor.
However, each one will have a different favor, even though it looks the same. As such, you need to pay close attention if you want to progress the heart meter quickly.
Each favor that you successfully complete will fill up a quarter of the heart matter. But on the flip side, if you accept a favor but failed to complete it, you will lose some hearts instead. So in order to make someone a resident, you need to either talk to them regularly or bring them gifts.
After you successfully convince an NPC to move in, you will then receive a deed from Fletch. This deed will let you unlock a new permanent building for the new resident.
