Xenoblade Chronicles has Superbosses that you can challenge and defeat. They are unique monsters above the Boss category, that drop high-end loot, including power gear, Nopon Coins, Fragments, and more. We will show you how to locate all the Superbosses and strategies to defeat them.

All Superbosses Locations and Best Strategies to Use in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

You can find five Superbosses in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The first Superboss is in the Fornis Region, where we can find the Kilocorn Grandeps. Second is the Perilwing Ryuho located in the Aetia Region. The third Superboss Dreadwyrm Nizoont, can be found in Low Maktha Wildwood. The next boss is found in the Cadensia Region, the Levialord Empireo. Lastly, the Seraphic Ceratinia is found at the Great Sword, Upper.

Where and How to Defeat the Superbosses

Superbosses can be challenged again when you defeat them but they will have a higher level. The team composition needed for every Superboss fight is the standard lineup: two attackers, two defenders and two healers.

The classes needed are as follow:

  • Noah with the Seraph class

He has been equipped with the skills Inferno Dance and Hidden Thorn art. Default skills are Beast mode, which increases damage when health is under 30%, and Universal Annihilation which boosts damage dealt to toppled and launched targets at 150%.

Master skills are Fighting Prowess that increases physical damage. Critical strike increases critical hit damage, and Dynamite Spirit, which increases damage when health is high.

Gems equipped are Steelcleaver X which increases attack. Accurate Grace X increases dexterity for accuracy, and Analyze Weakness X, which gives bonus damage to critical hits. Accessories are Ceramic Belt, Fiber Wraps, and Platinum Cube that highly focus on offense.

  • The second is Eunie with the Full Metal Jaguar class

Eunie equips the Fatal Barrage art and the default skill Bullet Symphony, where each attack hits will boost damage dealt by 20% up to 255%. The master skills are Etheral Ability, Critical Strikeand Universal Annihilation. Eunie’s gems are the same as Noah. Accessories are Fiber Wraps, Ceramic Belt and Lunae Rings.

  • Mio with the Zephyr class

Master skills are Fighting Prowess, Defensive Soul, and Evasion Expertise. Gems equipped are Tailwind X, Steel Protection X, and Steelcleaver X. Accessories are Titanium Support, Titanium Temple Guard, and Silver Belt.

  • The fourth is Lanz with the Lone Exile class

His master skills are Swiftsong, Universal Annihilation, and Critical Strike. Gems are Empowered Combo X, Steelcleaver X, and Steel Protection X. Titanium Temple Guard, Break Brooch, and Crystal Earrings for the accessories.

  • Taion with the Signifer class is the fifth

Master skills are Strengthening Gambit, Capable Hands and Abundant Oceans. Gems equipped are Swelling Blessing X, Soothing Breath X, and Lifesaving Expertise X. The accessories are Solis rings, Devotional Necklace and Crystal Earrings.

  • The sixth is Sena who is in the same class as Taion Signifer

Binding shadow eye with resonant flag to always buff allies and not make a chain attack. Master skills are Strengthening Gambit, Protector’s Pride, and Essence of Ether. Gems are Swelling Blessing X, Refined Blessing X, and Lifesaving Expertise X. The accessories are Fraternal Badge, Carbon Gloves, and Crystal Earrings.

  • Lastly, Ashera with the Lone Exile class

Placing her in the hero spot gives bonus damage to your chain attack.

Kilocorn Grandeps

The first boss is Kilocorn Grandeps which is found in the Fornis Region. It is found northwest of the saffron tree.

Use Sena and stack buffs to help your defender and attackers. The strategy is to use ouroboros form, spam arts with Sena, and then swap to Lanz and the launch combo. Leave ouroboros form after a successful transformation, then go for a chain attack.

The best strategy for this is to start from Ashera, as long as you don’t reach 100 before using her. Using Sena can recharge everyone. And because she is not attacking, Sena will continuously give power charges, boosting the art damage.

Perilwing Ryuho

The second superboss is Perilwing Ryuho, found at Cooly Lake. This boss is a little bit hard because it has a high breaking point, which will require you to do a chain attack without launching it—the same strategy with the first boss except without the launching combo. Start with Sena and stack buffs again. Use ouroboros for invincibility.

Dreadwyrm Nizoont

The third superboss is Dreadwyrm Nizoont located at the low Makth Wildwood, at the bottom right inside the cave. The same strategy uses Sena and then stack buffs. Ashera in the hero slot gives bonus damage to your chain attack and a power charge.

Levialord Empireo

The fourth superboss is Levialord Empireo in the Cadensia region at the bottom right. You have to reach it by boat then swim to get to the location. As usual, the same strategy with the other superbosses uses Sena and stack buffs and then does the launch combo finishing it with the chain attack.

Seraphic Ceratinia

The final superboss Seraphic Ceratinia can be found in the Upper Great Sword, in the cavity. You need to defeat the four superbosses before you can challenge it with the same strategy. Use Sena to stack buffs while Taion will revive dead allies. When you successfully launch the combo, make sure that all of your allies are alive.
