Top Citadel Map Secrets That You Should Know About in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
The Citadel is a ruin-and-plant-filled alpine meadow with a European appearance. Despite the map’s stunning splendor, a purple, foreboding haze hangs over it, giving the region a gloomy air.
Players should be able to tell that they have left Kamura Village as they ascend beyond the crumbling castle towers and into the snowy mountains. If you want to uncover Citadel’s deepest secrets, you have come to the right place.
Uncovering Citadel Secrets
There are a total of five secrets on the Citadel map, and you might have already come across one without you knowing! With that said, here are the five secrets you can uncover in the brand new Citadel map:
Secret Area/Hidden Cave: Pass through Area 13 and use a Wirebug to ascend to the tree stump on the left corner of the sizable pool of water to reach the hidden cave. When you reach the stump, you’ll discover that it has a hole that will transport you right to the center of the hidden cave.
You can also follow an alternative path if you want to explore the entire cave from the entrance. You just need to climb the cliff on the right side of the pool. Enter the cave through a hole that is located there.
Rare Endemic Life: Citadel is home to the rare endemic life, Galgoda. This creature only spawns after around 10 minutes of gameplay, so you can do other stuff on the map first. Climb up the mountain on Area 4, and you will see this mysterious creature sitting on the edge of a platform at the very top.
Secret Room with Destructible Doorway: This area can be accessed from the sub-camp location. Head towards the exit, and run up towards the castle. Jump over the wall and keep going ahead until you find a red door to your left. Destroy the door with a barrel bomb, and you will discover mining notes inside.
Secret Room with Destructible Doorway #2: Another destructible doorway can be found in the sewers as you go up the broken well with the climbable vines.
If you’ve climbed up this way before, you might have missed the small opening on the left. Wirebug your way to this small entrance, and you will find the familiar red door. Again, destroy it with a barrel bomb, and you can loot antique boxes inside.
Last Great Wirebug: In the exact location as the second red door, head out the door and run down towards the end of the corridor. Slide down the tunnel, and it will take you to a secret location with a Great Wirebug and a Relic Record.
