God of War Ragnarok: Desert Ruin Nornir Chest Location

If you’ve been exploring The Barrens, you might have come across a desert ruin. If you don’t pay too much attention to the area, you won’t even know there’s a Nornir chest in it somewhere. Let’s find out where its exact location is and how to open it.

Desert Ruin Nornir Chest Location in God of War Ragnarok

The Desert Ruin is located on the northwestern part of the desert. You’ll be able to spot it easily since it sticks out like a sore thumb even from a distance. The chest is just sitting right there at the base of the ruins.

In order to open it, you need to solve its puzzle first which involves lighting up the three torches around the ruins. To do so, you first need to go to the back of the ruins and clear the hive material by throwing your axe toward the center.

After clearing the hive material, you then need to light the torches in the exact order. The exact order will be C torch, N torch, and then R torch. Proceed by lighting up the C torch which is just to the left of the chest. Simply throw your Blades of Chaos toward it to light it up. After that, proceed to light up the N torch which is at the back of the ruins.

Finally, you can find the R torch on the roof of the ruins. However, instead of using your Blades of Chaos to light it up directly, you want to use your axe to blow up the flaming jug beside the torch. This will cause the explosion to light it up.

Once you’re done, you can then open the chest to obtain an Idunn Apple as a reward.
