Disney Dreamlight Valley: Where to Find All the Royal Tools

As you start your journey in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will be introduced immediately to first few quests to help you understand the game easily. Since you are starting your journey in this world, you have to understand how you can sustain your lifestyle here. One of the first quests that you will encounter is the one about the Royal Tools.

Merlin will give this quest to you during the early game. To complete this quest, you will be asked to look for four different royal tools hidden around the Plaza.

These tools are the only things where you can depend on to survive your early days in the valley. Proceed on this article to understand everything you need to know about the quest.

Where to Find All the Royal Tools in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Since there are four different tools that you have to find, you really have to be familiar first to the locations in the map. Usually, the tools are hidden in areas where they are commonly used. You will understand it better as we go on this article.

To help you find the royal tools and complete the quest quickly, here is a quick guide on where you can find the tools that it requires.

Royal Pickaxe

The first royal too will be the royal pickaxe. Since it is used to clear the way by breaking rocks that are blocking the way, you will find a pickaxe embedded on a small mountain of rocks.

This is located in the Plaza. If you are standing on the large staircase, turn right until you see this group of stones. There, you will see a shining pickaxe. Walk near it and just pick it up. Now, you have unlocked the royal pickaxe.

Royal Shovel

Moving on to the royal shovel will not require you to leave the Plaza yet. Just simple walk over the center of the valley. If you are looking at the map, it is located the east side of the podium-like area at the middle of the Plaza.

Once you reach the place, walk around near the unused Chez Remy building. It is stuck on the ground somewhere there.

Once you see it, walk near it, and pick it up. With the shovel, you can now start planting crops and flowers to give life to your surroundings and to suffice your lifestyle.

Royal Watering Can

Here, we are still going to explore inside the Plaza. But more specifically, around the outside of your house.

First, just go to your house positioned on the west part of the Plaza’s center. Then, take a walk somewhere behind your house. You will, for sure, see the mailbox and some kegs. There will also be some debris that needs to be cleared. Once the debris was removed, you can now see the watering can hiding behind it.

That’s pretty tricky, but at least. You now have something that you can use together with the shovel in growing crops.

Royal Fishing Rod

In this part, we have to leave the Plaza and head to the Peaceful Meadows. When looking at the map, you will notice the large pond on the southeast part if you are from the large staircase—that is where we are heading.

There you will see an old and broken fishing rod. Walk over it and pick up. The next thing you need to do is go to the center of the Peaceful Meadows to return Goofy’s old fishing rod. After giving it back to him, he will be grateful to you, and will give you the royal fishing rod as a way of returning the favor.

With that, you have completed all the royal tools. Four out of four! After completing all the tools, go back and talk to Merlin.
