The ‘Battlepass’ in Tower of Fantasy may be a little bit confusing to first-time or inexperienced players – here’s a brief guide on how to get ‘merit points’ and progress your pass.
So, what exactly is the deal with Tower of Fantasy’s battlepass?
Battlepasses are essentially a style of microtransaction, but Tower of Fantasy’s battlepass system can be a little bit confusing and unclear as to how you can actually purchase levels using in-game currency.
How to Level Up Your Battlepass Using Merit Points in Tower of Fantasy
The primary way to advance your ‘battlepass’ is through the use of “merit points.” In-game, you’re told that you earn merit experience by weekly activities to “raise [your] merit levels.” You’ll have to go to your ‘Adventure’ menu, which won’t be unlocked right away – you’ll have to play through the story until returning back from Hykros and this will then be available to you. This means completing Scrapper’s quest, having unlocked the Simulacra menu, and started on the mission “Celine’s Request.”
Once you have this unlocked, you’ll notice a symbol appear between the ‘Shop’ and the ‘Wanderer’s Log’ which looks like two crossed swords.
If you explore this section, you’ll notice several tabs, including one that reads: “weekly.” This will present you with a range of options from opening chests or bounty missions – doing these is not what gets you merit points. What does is reaching “milestones.” You reach milestones after a certain accumulated level of ‘activity points’ from doing these missions or activities. Merit points will be automatically applied to your battle pass, which will help you progress.
You can also ‘purchase’ individual battle pass levels fairly easily by using dark crystals in-game – of course, as you likely already know by now, dark crystals can be used for a variety of things in-game. This is not limited to advancing your battle pass.
The battle pass in Tower of Fantasy currently has 180 levels. Rewards for ‘advancing’ your battle pass include weapon materials, Relic shards, dark crystals, SR-tier gear, and Gold Nuclei.
It’s important to note, there’s two “Tiers” of battlepass available for purchase – the “Collector’s Edition” pass with advance players straight to level 30 with additional reward bonuses of:
SSR-Relic Box
Red Nucleus x 10
Wasteland Outfit
Shirli Avatar
Shining Star Avatar Frame
Together Time Chat Bubble
The “Regular Pass” you can purchase contains the advancement rewards of:
