Start off by going to your browser and searching for battle.net. Once you reach the website, log in to the existing account that you are using.
When you are done with your login information, look at the upper right-hand part of the screen with your current username. Click the arrow down button and click Account Settings.
In the Account Settings, go to Account Details. Scroll down until you see the BattleTag.
The BatteTag is your IGN plus your tag, hence the name BattleTag. This is what your friends will search for if they want to send you a friend request.
To change it, go to Update and you will be able to type your new BattleTag. However, you must remember that you can only change your BattleTag for free once. If you have already used it, but still want to change it, you have to purchase it for $10.
Once you have already thought about your new BattleTag, click Change Your BattleTag to confirm. You will know that it has been successfully changed when you see a confirmation banner saying Your BattleTag has been updated to…
Upon opening Overwatch 2, you will be signed out due to your change of BattleTag. Simply login again, and you should see your updated BattleTag on the upper right part of the screen.
