Hogwarts Legacy showers players with loot constantly, so much so that the meager 20 inventory slots you start with won’t be enough.
However, the developers already implemented a solution! There’s a way for you to increase your inventory size, allowing you to carry way more loot at once.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how you can expand your inventory in the game.
How to Increase your Inventory Size in Hogwarts Legacy
The only way to increase your inventory size is by completing Merlin Trials.
These trials become available after you complete the “Trials of Merlin” main story quest. You can find these trials all over Hogwarts’ surroundings.
You will need to make the most of your spells as you solve these trials!
These trials will also appear on your map which is shown with a feather-like icon. This makes them fairly easy to find.
Do note that you will need to get Mallowsweet Leaves as well so you can start the trials. The best way to get them is to get a Mallowsweet Seed and grow your own Mallowsweet farm.
There are a total of 95 Merlin Trials spread across the world. You will get inventory size increases when you reach these milestones:
2 Merlin Trials
8 Merlin Trials
18 Merlin Trials
32 Merlin Trials
52 Merlin Trials
Despite there being a total of 95 trials, you only need to complete 52 of them to maximize your inventory space.
Each of these milestones will give you 4 more inventory slots, for a total of 20 additional slots. This doubles your starting inventory space.
Remember to claim the rewards from the challenge menu as well! You won’t get the additional inventory space until you do.
That’s all there is to know about increasing your inventory size in Hogwarts Legacy! Keep solving Merlin’s clever puzzles and hoard all the loot.
