There are many different weapons in Skulls and Bones, however, each one has its own weaknesses and strengths. Using these weapons often takes a few attempts to master, some weapons just don’t have the kind of range attack as others, while others just require practice.

That said, aiming and positioning the Bombard Cannon has proven to be a tough task for amateurs. Understanding how to fire the cannon will definitely require some patience and skill.

Fear not, as we’ll take you through all there is to know about the Bombard Cannon and how to use it in battle.

How to Use Bombard Cannon

Blacksmith

Before you can use the Bombard Cannons in Skull and Bones, you’ll need to unlock the blueprints for the weapon and craft them at the blacksmith.

Black market in Skull and Bones

Instead of crafting the Bombard Cannon, you can also just purchase it off the black market. Be warned though, it will cost you pieces of eight, silver and gold aren’t welcome there.

Add Cannon to Ship

Equip cannons

Now that you’ve purchased or crafted your own Bombard Cannons, you will need to add them to your ship. Go to any dock to access the ships menu and select “Manage Ship.” On this menu, you can add cannons under the weapons section.

In the weapons menu, you can decide where on your ship you would like to equip the cannon. Whenever you receive a new cannon, all you need to do is add it to your ship’s inventory and it will be able under the weapons menu.

Combat

Target ships in combat

With your Bombard Cannon equipped on deck, all that’s left to do is to engage with an enemy ship in combat. When aiming use the scope on the screen as a target marker, as seen in the image above.

Only fire your cannons when you’re within firing range of an enemy ship and with the target locked in on-site. Remember that you are restricted to a certain amount of cannonballs.
