Linking items in chat provides a quick and easy way to show the stats of the equipment you’ve found during your travels. And to simply show off. But the game doesn’t really explain how to do that.

So, here’s the entire process!

The first thing you’ll need to do is open the inventory screen by pressing the “I” key. Now, make sure the “chat” window is open. If it’s closed, you can press the “Enter” key to bring it up again.

Now, hold down the ctrl and alt keys at the same time and left-click on the item you want to link in the chat. Now, everyone in the chat will be able to see the stats of the item you’ve linked.

Keep in mind what chat you want to link the item in. Spamming the Global Chat with every item you have found might not be a good idea, so make sure that you have the right chat selected.

This is especially important if you plan to sell the item you’ve found – you’d then want to link it in the Trade Chat. And if you want to show the item to your friends only, choose the Party Chat.

The local chat will show the item to the players in the general area. But no matter the chat, the procedure is always the same.
