As you are playing the Settlers of Kalguur expansion of Path of Exile, you will certainly come across upgrades that will require Petrified Amber Ore. However, you will need to fulfill a certain requirement before you can start mining it. I will show you how to do that in this guide!
How to Mine Petrified Amber Ore
To be able to mine Petrified Amber Ore, you need to upgrade your Mining to Rank 3. To do so, head to the Mining Establishment which is located west of the Kingsmarch Tavern. Once you get there, click on the hammer icon which says Mining Improvements.

After that, simply click on the “UPGRADE” button. You will need the following resources to upgrade:
- 120 Gold
- 10 Crimson Iron Ore
- 8 Orichalcum Ore
- 10 Wheat

Once you have done that, interact with the board called Mining Information which is found near the hammer icon.

Click on the “Manage Workers” button located at the top middle of the menu.

Now you can assign your miners to start mining Petrified Amber Ore. Simply click on the small down arrow button on a miner and then select Petrified Amber Ore from the drop down menu.

Once you have assigned your miners, you will be able to see an hourly rate for the amount of Petrified Amber Ore your miners will be producing. The more miners you assign, the more Petrified Amber Ore you will get. The worker’s mining rank also impacts the production rate.
