Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak: How to Get to the Secret Area in The Citadel

As you go around doing missions in the new Sunbreak expansion, you might come across some locations that seem rather inaccessible. There are lots of such areas throughout the new map, but one location that sticks out is the Citadel.

In particular, there’s a spot in Area 13 where there seems to be a path that players aren’t able to access. It might seem that you can use bombs to destroy the blockade or climb the walls. However, neither of them actually works.

How to Get to the Secret Area in The Citadel in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

Area 13 has lots of Thornytoads scattered throughout the area. In order to get to the secret cave, you have to go through Area 13 by using a Wirebug to climb up to the tree stump on the left corner of the large pool of water. Once you arrive at the stump, you’ll find that it has a hole that will directly take you to the middle of the secret cave.

However, there’s also a different route you can take if you prefer to explore the entire cave from its entrance. All you need to do is go up the cliff which you can find on the right part of the pool. There, you’ll find a hole that serves as the entrance to the cave.

What’s Inside the Secret Area

Once you’re inside the cave, you’ll find lots of gathering spots. One spot in particular features mining outcrops where you can obtain certain materials. A few examples include Meldspar Ore, Centuria Ore, as well as Ultimas Crystals. When you arrive at the end of the cave, you’ll notice a small beach-like area. You can actually use your Wirebug here to travel back to camp quickly.

Apart from that, visiting the area will cause the fog in the Citadel’s map to dispel. This will then provide you with a clear view of the entire region.
