The release of the Sunbreak expansion introduced a handful of new Master Rank armor sets into the game. One such example is the Barbania armor set. Just like other Master Rank armor sets, you need to fulfill certain requirements first before you can start crafting this set.

In this guide, I’ll show you how exactly you can get the armor set for yourself.

How to Get The Barbania Master Rank Armor Set in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

First off, you won’t be able to see this armor set in the crafting menu at the start of the game. Instead, you have to reach Master Rank 4 first before it even shows up. After reaching Master Rank 4, simply speak to Argosy.

You will then find a new option called the Backroom Deals which lets you send your buddies on an expedition. This allows you to give them a letter of introduction which then gives you the chance to receive certain items upon their return.

One such item is known as the Locked Treasure Chest. This is a chance-based loot, so you might find yourself sending your buddies to several expeditions before you can get one. After a buddy returned with a Locked Treasure Chest, you want to head over to the Smithy and the option to craft the Barbania armor set should then appear.

How to Craft the Set

You will then need to farm a handful of crafting materials in order to craft the entire armor set. Here are the requirements for each body part:

  • Patch – 2x Locked Treasure Chest, 2x Hermitaur Hardclaw, 1x Monster Slogbone, 1x Dragonbone Artifact
  • Vest – 1x Locked Treasure Chest, 2x Royal Ludroth Talon, 1x Monster Slogbone, 3x Giant Monster Bone
  • Gloves – 1x Locked Treasure Chest, 2x Aknosom Plume, 1x Monster Slogbone, 3x Massive Monster Bone
  • Belt – 1x Locked Treasure Chest, 2x Heavy Tetra Carapace, 2x Monster Slogbone, 2x Twisted Stiffbone
  • Boots – 1x Locked Treasure Chest, 2x Velociprey Shard, 2x Monster Slogbone, 2x Overgrown Stiffbone

After successfully crafting the Barbania armor set and equipping it, you’ll then receive the following skills:

  • Level 3 Weakness Exploit
  • Level 1 Capture Master
  • Level 3 Resentment
  • Level 3 Partbreaker
  • Level 3 Counterstrike
  • Level 3 Good Luck
