The process is hilariously simple, but there are tricks to make it even easier.

Stealing may be a great way to make a lot of money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but new players might not know how to deal with hot goods. Just like in other RPG games, merchants almost always know if you are trying to sell them stolen items, so this guide will help you deal with this mechanic and profit off of your shady actions.

How to Sell Stolen Items

The simplest and most obvious way to deal with hot goods is to sell them to a fence. As far as we know at the moment, the only one in this game is Whitebeard, who can be found at the Nomads’ Camp. Refer to the map image below for his location.

This is the only way to straight up sell stolen goods without a catch or any other things to worry about. However, that does not mean he is your only choice.

There are various perks that you can unlock which will let you sell stolen goods to any merchant, or at least lower your chances of getting called out for doing so. There are also perks that help you determine if your items are still too hot to sell in the region.

As you level up the thieving skill, you can eventually learn the Thief’s Eyes perk. This lets you know if the hot items in your inventory are still considered stolen in your current location. If you travel far enough, you may be able to just sell them without any issues like any other item.

Under the thieving skill, you can also get the Trafficker perk. Items eventually lose their “stolen” status after a while, and this perk will speed up that process even more. If you do not want to hold on to hot goods, put them in your storage and leave them there for a few days.

Under the speech skill, the Hustler perk improves your chances of successfully selling stolen goods to normal merchants, though it is still a risky thing to do. Partner in Crime, which you can get at a higher level, lets you do so completely without risk though.

That is all there is to it, really. Either just sell it to a fence to be safe, or rely on various other unlockable perks to sell them elsewhere with little to no risk involved. While you are here, go and check out our guide on how to lockpick in the game too, so you can start stealing even more goods around the kingdom!

Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
