Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has a wide range of complicated or obtuse (or both) mechanics that you have to learn and deal with as you progress through it, and alchemy is just one of the earlier examples that can get annoyingly complex sometimes. In this guide, we will very quickly show you how you are supposed to distill a potion whenever you need to.
How to Distill Potions
In case you have not been practicing alchemy or have already forgotten how to and need a refresher, make sure to check out our guide on how to brew potions first.
So, if you are here, then you probably found a recipe for a potion that requires you to distill it rather than simply decanting it. The process is actually very simple, and you might have already hovered over the solution while looking around an alchemy station.
If you look right below the shelf where the liquid bases are stored in the left, you are going to see the still. Needless to say, all you need to do is to pick up a phial and then interact with the still.
Once you do that, Henry will start doing all of the necessary steps to transfer whatever is in the cauldron into the still. Then, he will turn up the heat and eventually transfer the contents of the still into the container he is holding.
That is really all there is to it. Despite trying to be an overly “realistic” game, it does speed up the process significantly as distilling stuff normally does not finish even remotely as quick as it does here.
If you are looking for more advice related to alchemy, consider taking a peek at our guide all about the difference between dried herbs and freshly picked ones. This should help you decide whether it is worth preserving materials for potions or if you should just rush to an alchemy station as soon as you gather a bunch of herbs.
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
