While playing in Black Desert, you might have acquired a Gold Bar or Gold Ingot, and now you are wondering what to do with it.
Gold bars are used to transport silver from one location to another in a more manageable way, or the largely forgotten investment bank mechanic. But no one cares about that one anymore.
You can get them from quests, and they are basically a compressed form of silver. So, you can trade them to get silver. This was most relevant back when Silver had weight, as Gold Bars were used to move the currency around more easily.
How to Sell Gold Bars in Black Desert
Trading gold bars for silver is super simple. First, you’ll want to find a Storage Keeper NPC, which you can find in any major city in the game. You can find them in the following cities and locations:
Olivia
Velia
Heidel
Altinova
Valencia
Calpheoon
Grana
Duvencrune
Illiya Island
Keplan
Port Epheria
Trent
Tarif
Glish
Ancado Inner Harbor
Arehaza
Sand Grain Bazaar
Shakatu
Storage Keepers are identified in the minimap by a small chest icon. If you’ve already spoken with a storage keeper before, you can use the magnifying glass on the top right of the screen, next to the minimap, to search for NPCs you’ve already visited. You can search by name or select the chest icon to search for the nearest storage keeper.
Once you’ve found the NPC. You’ll want to select “Currency Exchange” from his set of options. You will see a pop-up option that allows you to buy different denominations of Gold Bars for Silver, but you are looking for the Sell tab.
When you select that tab, you’ll be able to change the gold bars in your possession to silver. A 1G gold bar is worth 100,000 silver, a 10G gold bar is worth 1 million silver, and so on. You can sell all the bars you have, or choose to only sell a specific amount. You can also just right-click the gold bars in your inventory when you are talking to the NPC. And that’s about it.
