Best Loadout to Use

In total, you will have 3 different slots for your weaponry:

• Primary Weapon

Primary Weapon

When it comes to primary weapons, you have quite a few options available to you in the game. The best option for the primary here is the SG-225 Breaker shotgun. This is a fully automatic shotgun, which also has one of the highest damages in the game.

Other primaries in the game are also not bad, as you can opt for any of the assault rifles or something like a laser gun. None compare to the SG-225 though, as that gun is on another level when it comes to DPS.

Secondary Weapon

Unlike the primary, your options here are very limited. There are just 3 secondary guns in the game, with all of them being pistols. Secondaries in this game aren’t the strongest overall, and most of the time you won’t really use them.

Still, the P-19 Redeemer is a very respectable choice. It is a fully automatic pistol, with decent enough damage. Compared to the other 2 options, the P-19 Redeemer is the clear choice.

Grenades

With the grenades in Helldivers 2, there is a bit more parity in your choices. Depending on your situation or mission, the best grenade choice also changes. Generally, the G-6 Frag is a versatile and ok option to go with. Similarly, the G-12 is also something you might go for.

A bit different from the previous 2, you can also go for the G-16 impact grenade. This grenade is faster to use as it doesn’t have a fuze, but it also deals less damage. The G-16 is very weak against Automaton’s, so if you are against Automaton’s defenses, the G-6 or the G-12 are much better options.

Stratagems

Moving away from the weaponry, Stratagems are also an important part of your loadout. Out of all the Stratagems in the game, the Railgun in most cases is the best option to go for. It is the perfect support weapon in this game and is very versatile.

Your Stratagem choices in this game can also be affected by whether you are playing solo or with other people.

When playing on your own, you can also opt for Stratagems that directly impact you. Something like the Jump Pack is very useful as it gives you a lot more mobility, which is extremely important if you don’t have anyone watching your back.
