Palworld features a ton of gear for all of your collected Pals. These add different effects and generally make them a more useful addition to your team. To obtain this gear, however, you first have to craft it.
So, how do you unlock and use Pal Gear?
How to Unlock Pal Gear
In order to get your hands on some nice gear, you’ll have to level your character up first. Then, you can craft the necessary Workbench required for crafting Gear.
Your character needs to be at least Level 6 for this guide. At level 6, you unlock the ability to craft the “Pal Gear Workbench”. You will also need the following materials:
- At least 10 Paldium Fragments
- At least 30 pieces of Wood
- At least 2 pieces of Cloth
This probably goes without saying, but be sure to catch Pals and have them in your inventory. This is required in order to equip them with the gear.
Once you have your workbench crafted, interact with it. This will bring up a menu where you can begin crafting your Pal Gear.
More gear unlocks as you level up. Once you’ve selected what gear you want and crafted it, it will automatically be equipped by your Pal. Be sure to not craft more than one piece of gear at a time! Their effect does not stack and you can only use one Pal at a time.
The gear you have equipped will apply different effects to your Pals. Some of them become mounts, some become weapons to use as flamethrowers.
We recommend experimenting around with different Pals and gear combinations. This will allow you to get the most out of your Palworld experience!
