Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: What Does the Blank Slate Do?

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a ton of legendary armors that you can obtain. However, one armor in particular has been a stuff of memes for the simple reason that it can offer basically nothing. This armor is called the Blank Slate, and if you happen to find one, you might be wondering what’s the point of this item in the first place.

What is Blank Slate in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?

The Blank Slate can be obtained just like you would with other legendary armors. The confusing part is that when you finally find one, it has the red flavor text stating “Requires at least 1500 clicks” and another flavor text at the top that’s either “Corrupted” or “Krangled”.

Now, if it’s your first time getting one, you might be confused as to what those texts mean. Well, as mentioned, they’re basically flavor texts, but the “Requires at least 1500 clicks” part is quite confusing as it’s always available on every Blank Slate armor you come across.

Luckily, it doesn’t really require you to click at least 1500 times to unlock anything. It’s actually a reference to Path of Exile which is known for its punishing endgame grinding and crafting mechanics. Also, the flavor texts “Corrupted” and “Krangled” are both a reference to the same game.

What Does Blank Slate Do in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?

That aside, the Blank Slate actually has a secret stat. Basically, whenever you come across a Blank Slate drop, it can roll with a random stat that will sometimes grant you an XP buff or an Ambivalence buff. It can also roll a ton of other stats, with some claiming that it can even roll a 100% increased spell damage, though further testing is required to prove it.

In worst-case scenarios, you’ll get a Blank Slate that actually grants nothing, making it a blank slate.

However, there’s one overlooked mechanic that the Blank Slate provides in addition to its random stat. Basically, the item can also roll two sets of random stats at the top, making way for even better synergies. For example, it can roll with increased damage for every Ability Level that you have, as is the case with the screenshot above. This bonus will apply to all abilities, granting you massive bonuses depending on your current Ability Level.

That might sound good on paper, though I believe it can be easily surpassed by other armors, especially since they can roll extremely good stats that will make your character even more powerful.  

With all that’s been said, the Blank Slate is finally no longer just a meme item. It can offer some really nice bonuses and interactions depending on the stat it rolls with.
