Overwatch 2: How to Fix Mic and Voice Chat Not Working on PS5

The voice chat feature in Overwatch 2 is pretty handy as it lets you communicate with your teammates without typing in the chat. It also lets you choose between having your mic always on and pressing a button so you can talk.

However, there can be instances when your mic and voice chat won’t work. This is an issue that some PS% players experienced. In this guide, we’re going to cover some of the fixes for that.

How to Fix Mic and Voice Chat Not Working on PS5 in Overwatch 2

In order to fix your voice chat, make sure that you enable it in various voice chat channels. You can do so by going to your menu and heading over to Options.

Inside the Options, head over to the Sound tab. Under Voice Chat, set the volume for both Voice Chat and Voice Chat Mic to 80. After that, head over to the Channels section and make sure that all voice chat channels are set to either Auto Join or On.

As for the Voice Chat Mode under Capture, make sure to choose Open Mic. This way, your mic will pick up your voice each time you communicate with your teammates. This also means you no longer have to press any button every time you want to speak.

After that, you then want to press the PlayStation button and make sure that the mic is not muted in the control center. If it is, simply select your mic and press the Mute option to unmute it. Also, choose the Mic option at the top and select your headphone.

Then, move over to the Adjust Mic Level option and make sure that the Input Level is right within the Good range. You also want to do the same to the Sound option which is the icon right next to your mic.

Here, make sure that your Output Device is your headphone and that the Mute Game Voice Chat option is turned off. After applying the changes, you can go back to the game to see if your mic and voice chat are already working.
