It goes without saying that matrices play a major part in Tower of Fantasy. Basically, you need them to improve the overall power of your weapons. However, if you are still a bit confused about how this mechanic works, then you might want to check out this guide.

How to Power Up Your Weapons | Matrices Guide in Tower of Fantasy

First off, Matrices are basically artifacts that grant extra stats to your weapons. In a sense, they let you power up your weapons to make them even stronger and more powerful. Of course, the bonus will depend on the type of weapon you plan on upgrading.

Matrices come in four different categories namely Belief, Emotion, Memory, and Mind. Each of them has its own set of bonuses. Belief and Memory both grant Attack and HP bonuses, Emotion grants Attack and Resistance, and Mind grants HP and Crit.

To add to the layer of complexity, Matrices also come in different rarities and some are even part of a set. For example, an SSR Matrix will give better bonuses than an SR Matrix, and so on. Also, some Matrices are part of a set, and equipping all set pieces will grant you even more bonus stats.

However, it doesn’t end there. You can actually upgrade your Matrices to increase the bonuses they give. You can upgrade them via the Develop button and feed them useless matrices for some XP. Of course, the higher a matrix’s rating is, the higher the XP it will give.

Getting More Matrices

Luckily, there are several means of getting your hand on some Matrices. For one, you can fight World Bosses with the help of a group of players. While they are hard to defeat even with a large number of players, the drops they give are more than worth it. One of them is a Matrix with a random rarity.

Another method is the Joint Operation which also requires teammates. The last method is via the Choice Matrices banner. While it’s by far the easiest, it will need a Proof of Purchase to use. You can find it by exploring the world or completing the battle pass.
