Strengthening a weapon to the max requires a lot of time, effort, and sometimes, even a lot of money. Unless you’re planning on whaling on this game, maxing a weapon could be rewarding if you end up enjoying them, to downright appalling if the weapon of your choice turns out to be a big disappointment.
To pick, or not to pick. That seems to be the problem when faced with choosing your main. So for today, we are going to check out one of the Tower of Fantasy’s fan favorites, the dual-wielding volt element Simulacra, Samir.
Should You Max Out Samir in Tower of Fantasy
Samir’s potential for dealing damage is one of the best in the game. As you level up her stars they grant you increased damage, increased critical chance, crowd control volt damage, and skill cooldown chance on her max star level.
Her playstyle is a bit similar to Dante in Devil May Cry, especially when wielding his dual pistols Ebony and Ivory. There are times when we couldn’t help ourselves and check the upper right side of the screen to make sure that the Stylish meter isn’t there.
What sets her apart from the other Simulacra is her ability to do manual aim on her pistols. This proves very effective when engaging from afar and her damage gives you a good amount of charge for your weapon skills.
This in turn gives you a variety of team compositions to choose from with Samir used for charging those weapon skills from afar and diving right in to deliver high Area of Effect Skills from your slow-charging, much powerful melee weapons.
Her aerial skills provide good hangtime provided you have enough stamina to pull them off. In the air, she dodges ground-based attacks and deals continuous damage.
The most common combination you see with Samir is she starts dashing in, kick-flips an enemy and launches herself in the air and rain down a barrage of bullets that deal volt damage that could stun and raise your final damage with her buffs.
Her weapon type, which deals volt damage, stuns an enemy for 1 second when fully charged as well as electrifies them for 6 seconds removes all buffs from the target while dealing 30% attack damage.
At 2-star advancement, she increases the weapons base attack by 16%. With 3 stars she increases the critical rate to electrified targets by 40% as well as extend electrical explosions to a maximum of 5 seconds.
At 4 stars, your base damage is increased by 32% at 5 stars it doubles the duration of the electro field and pulls targets to the center of the attack, and at 6 stars when you trigger an electrical explosion, it reduces skill cooldown by 1 second.
What she does with high damage output, however, can’t be said for her shattered abilities. The best time to use her is when the enemy is suffering from shield breaks. That way when you start your combination, you would waste less time and effort in clearing mobs in dungeons.
Using her weapon as a way to break enemy shields would not be as effective compared to other DPS weapons.
What makes Samir shine among other characters is the fact that she is easy to pick up and play. She doesn’t have the complex positioning required for other characters and you could pretty much use her in any combination you want.
With that being said, we highly recommend that you should use her as one of your weapons. The potentially high damage she can inflict on max stars would see you using her often as you clear content in the game.
