In the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion, the Canteen system has recently received Hopping Skewers, which offers a novel twist on how the Dango Skill functions.
Don’t worry if you still don’t understand how to use the Hopping Skewers system; in our Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak tutorial, we’ll do our best to explain the new Canteen features.
Dango Shifter Guide in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
When selecting Dango in the Canteen, hit the Tab key to choose between Normal and Hopping Skewers. Simply put, activating Hopping Skewers will change the Dango Skills’ skill levels, which determine how effective they will be, as well as their activation chances, which determine whether their effects will manifest after you consume the Dango.
The skill’s efficiency fluctuates from Level 1 to Level 4, with Level 4 having the highest effectiveness. The alterations are also fixed depending on the order you choose for the Dango.
Unlocking Dango Shifter
You need to get the “Easy Breezy” Dango to obtain the Dango Shifter skill. Complete the side quests for Azuki the Cook. Once they have a yellow speech bubble above, interact with them to get the Dango unlocking quest.
With the Dango Shifter skill, performing a Switch Skill swap will allow you to recover a small number of health points. Upgrading this to its level 4 will increase the number of health points to be healed and nullify initial stamina consumption.
