With the official 1.0 launch of Palworld, you might be wondering what are the fastest mounts to help you explore the Palpagos Islands.

There are dozens of rideable Pals in this game, so there’s quite a hefty selection of mounts! Flying Pals, land-bound Pals, seafaring Pals… every category has quite a selection. But, of course, not all of them are equally as fast.

In this guide, I’ll tell you what the fastest Pals to look out for are.

Fastest Flying Pal

When it comes to flying Pals, the fastest Pal right now is Eidrolon. Both the regular and Ignis variants are tied for the highest flying speed! You can find Eidrolon at Water Lily Gorge, while Eidrolon Ignis is in the northeastern part of the World Tree.

Now, there is a bit of a caveat to both Eidrolons. They do not actually reach their highest speed naturally, instead requiring a team built around maxing out their Partner Skill.

For Eidrolon, you’ll need a full team of Dragon and Dark types. For Eidrolon Ignis, you’ll instead need a full team of Dragon and Fire types. In both cases, you’ll also want to have ranked them up to the max for even further speed increases!

If that sounds like too much hassle, though, the second fastest flying Pal might better fit you. That would be, as always, Jetragon! You can find it at The Azure Tapestry, northwest of the PIDF Tower.

Unlike the Eidrolons, Jetragon doesn’t really need any special conditions to reach its full speed. It just is fast from the get-go, which allows you to freely make any team of Pals you want!

Of course, the downside is that Jetragon isn’t as fast as Eidrolon can be. Nonetheless, a maxed-out Eidrolon is only slightly faster than Jetragon. So, Jetragon is more than good enough, and also more versatile.

Lastly, I want to shout out Beakon as an early game option. It can be ridden as early as Level 29, and spawns frequently near the Frostbound Mountain.

Like Eidrolon, however, Beakon requires a full team designed around it to max out its speed. You’ll need to have a full team of Electric Pals and rank up Beakon to rank 4 to reach the highest speed. Nonetheless, it’s a great early game option!

Fastest Ground Pal

When it comes to land-bound Pals, the fastest mount would be Starryon Primo. It can be captured around the south-central region of the World Tree.

Similar to Eidrolon for flying mounts, however, Starryon Primo requires a dedicated team to shine. In this case, you’ll want to get Starryon Primo to rank 4 and have team of Neutral Pals. This will max out the movement speed bonus from its Partner Skill.

Aside from that, I’d also recommend Rayhound. It’s available as early as Level 30, and you can capture it easily around Icy Weasel Hill. As such, you can get this one pretty early on!

As in most cases, though, Rayhound requires a dedicated team to reach full speed. Rank up Rayhound to rank 4 and have a team full of Electric Pals to max out its speed.

Overall, Rayhound is pretty close in speed to Starryon Primo. It also has the advantage of being available early, as well as an innate double jump. So, don’t sleep on this mount!

Lastly, I want to shout out Palumba! You can capture this Pal around the oases in the Desiccated Desert, including the Oasis Isle specifically.

Surprisingly, Palumba has the highest movement speed technically, beating out even Starryon Primo when at rank 4. This is due to its Partner Skill giving a massive movement speed boost of up to 240%.

However, there’s one big catch: this effect only triggers while Palumba walks over grass. In every other terrain, it has a very mediocre movement speed. What an odd mount, huh?

Fastest Swimming Pal

Lastly, for swimming Pal mounts, you’ll want either Ghangler or Ghangler Ignis. They both share the highest swimming speed. Both of them can be caught in Feybreak island.

In either case, you’ll once again need to get the Pal to rank 4 and have a team of specific Pal types to max them out. Ghangler requires Dark and Water types, while Ghangler Ignis requires Fire and Water types.

Frankly, there isn’t much competition for the fastest swimming Pal. Both variants of Ghangler are much faster than every other swimmer, while also being obtainable as early as Level 31. Not too shabby!

Wrapping Up

So, there you have it! You now know what are the fastest mounts to get in Palworld 1.0, including one for every transportation type.

Ultimately, it’s worth noting that the flying Pals listed here are also the fastest overall. They are just inherently faster than the grounded and swimming mounts, which makes them the best for getting around.

As a final closing tip, remember to try putting the Dimensional Leap passive skill on your mounts! We mentioned it as one of the best skills in 1.0. It gives your Pals +50% movement speed, making them even faster.
