The 1.0 launch for Palworld included a rework for a lot of Skills, so it’s a good idea to learn about which ones are the best after the launch.

Not all Skills got a massive rework, mind you, some just got small buffs and changes. Nonetheless, the massive 1.0 patch definitely changed up which Skills are the best, as a lot of new Skills were also introduced.

In this guide, I’ll tell you what the best Skills are in version 1.0 and how to get them.

The Best Skills After the 1.0 Launch Rework

There are quite a lot of Skills that got a bit of a rework or buff with 1.0, but I’ve personally found that the best Skills in the game are actually the brand-new ones.

These mainly come in the form of the tier 5 World Tree Passive Skills. As you might imagine, those are reserved for Pals in the endgame World Tree area, though they can be passed down to others through Breeding.

With that in mind, here’s the quick list of all of the Skills that I consider the best as of the 1.0 launch:

BabysitterWhile at a base, increases egg production speed and incubation speed by +30% for Pals assigned to a Breeding Farm.
Burly BodyDefense +20%. Immunity to Flinch.
Demon’s HandWork Speed +90%.

By now, I’m sure you’re wondering how to get some of the Skills listed here. So, let’s quickly talk about it!

How to Get the Best Skills

The reality is that most of the Skills your Pals have are random. This is particularly true of their Passive Skills. Sometimes you get lucky and catch a Pal that just innately has the best skills. Other times, you don’t. Simple as that!

That said, you can also use the Pal Surgery Table to freely implant specific Skills onto Pals. You can unlock the Technology for it at Level 38 at the earliest, which isn’t too far into the game.

By default, you can implant a few basic Skills the moment you build the Pal Surgery Table. You can unlock more options by getting permanent Implants through the Bounty Tokens trade and the Arena.

For the highest tiers of Skills, however, you’ll need Disposable Implants. Unlike regular Implants, these are consumed on use. You can find some of them randomly from Treasure Chests.

That said, the Ancient Relic Recycler is the best source of Disposable Implants. You can unlock it as a Technology, though it’s not available until Level 74 at the earliest. So, it’s meant for late and endgame, mainly.

Lastly, you can also try to pass down Skills through Breeding. We have a guide on how Breeding works. It hasn’t changed much for 1.0!

The gist of it is that you can breed Pals at the Breeding Farm, which you can unlock as a Technology at Level 19. Place a male and female Pal with 1 Cake to get the offspring as an Egg, then hatch it to receive the child Pal.

Passing down Skills through Breeding is fairly random, however. You’re not guaranteed to pass down the exact Skills you want in this method. Nonetheless, it’s the best option in the early game.

Wrapping Up

Ultimately, the 1.0 Skills rework for Palworld does overall mean your Pals will be stronger. Though this mostly comes from the new World Tree Passive Skills in the late game, realistically.

Nonetheless, now you know what the best Skills to look out for are! Get these powerful Skills to assemble teams of powerful Pals and you’ll surely have a better time living in the Palpagos Islands.
